Book Review – Radiance: Love after Death, by Debra Jayne East.

It’s just that good a story, and the writing is excellent! There were a few plot devices, that caused me to have to throttle-back my, suspension of disbelief, factor, but even those, didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book. So, the verdict Yeah, I liked it a lot, and would definitely recommend it, to females, for sure, but to guys. Though definitely a novel with romantic elements, this book is not just for the romance-reading female, male readers should also find a lot to like. will make, more than a few female reader’s hearts, skip a beat. Tracey Garvis Graves’ heroine, Anna, is sweet, smart and irresistibly sexy. and Anna will live in your memory, long after you finish the book. This is strong testimony to the author’s ability, to flesh out her characters. Part adventure tale, survival epic and stirring romance On the Island, is a terrific read! The characters are both believable, and engaging. So much so, I may utilize it in a future novel, myself. The author uses an interesting device an alternating narrative, each chapter telling their story, from the perspective, of Anna, then T. So, the stage is set for the interplay between these two, very different characters. They wash up on the shore of an uninhabited island. After T.J.’s parents go on ahead, he and Anna, are later flying to join them, when the pilot of their small plane, has a fatal heart attack, and crashes into the Indian Ocean. Anna, unhappy with her life, including her boyfriend, jumps at the chance to tutor T.J., at a resort in the Maldives. to get him caught up, after missing school during his treatments.

The story revolves around two central characters, Anna, a thirty-year-old teacher/tutor, and T.J., a sixteen-year-old student, just going into remission, from Hodgkins Lymphoma.Īnna has been hired to tutor T.J.
